Hi Everyone,

Hope that you all have gotten home (or are still in Namibia) and are safe and sound.

In a long search to find Mahangu that I could get shipped to my house (still working, though it's best to search for Pearl Millet, if anyone is curious) I came across something that I felt the need to share: Anthony Bourdain's No Reservations, Namibia. Anthony Bourdain has a show on the Food Network wherein he travels around the world and eats ridiculous things, and I just found out that the made an episode in Namibia. Glad I didn't see it before I left because here's the synopsis:

Eating the warthog's rectum in this episode is often cited by Tony (along with fermented shark) as his worst culinary experience ever. This is also one of the only things he's eaten on his travels that lands him in the hospital.

It's available on iTunes, enjoy!

All Best,

Griffin

I'm sitting next to Hallie right now in Livingston, Zambia, a scant 11 km from Victoria Falls.  My trip through Botswana was a hiking adventure- I left when y'all headed to the airport and only ended up making it 200 km in 9 hours of travel.  Fun!  After that though it was all good, but essentially losing a day means I didn't get to do any safaris or anything in Botswana.  I spent two nights and one day at a backpackers in Maun, but wasn't really able to get in on any trips.  I really enjoyed traveling through the country though and hiking is really fun, I met a lot of very nice people.  Gonna try to see the falls tomorrow, then it's time for an Intercape back to Windhoek.

I hope that everyone's travels home were safe and without issue and that you're all enjoying being back.  Its weird to still be over here without the rest of the group, miss y'all. I'm off to see if I can find restaurant that serves warthog rectum.

Hey everyone! I'm finally home, I had a safe and really enjoyable week, and I'm glad to be home, though I do have reoccuring thoughts about the tremendous amount of green.
I think a bunch of you were gonna hang out in NY for a couple days. So if you're around, give me a call and maybe we can get together!
Much Love,
~Halimeda
