Rick Miller, Esperantist and lernu! tutor, has passed away...

I regret to inform you Rick Miller (known as Rik' in Esperanto, username rdmiller3 at lernu!), passed away suddenly a few days ago, at his home in Muskego, Wisconsin. He had a massive heart attack caused by a complete cholesterol blockage of his left vein; paramedics were unable to revive him. He was a single father to four children, and only 45 years old.

Rick was an important part of the lernu community, active from time to time in the forums, and a diligent tutor for lernu's courses. I know he corresponded with Esperantists all over the world, and not everyone may be aware yet of his passing. His family doesn't have many contacts in the Esperanto community, so we can all help spread the news of his passing.

For anyone who lives close enough to Wisconsin to attend, this is Rick's funeral information:

The visitation will be on Tuesday March 6th from 3-6pm at Fox River Christian Church Located at the corner of Lawnsdale Rd and Hwy 164 in Waukesha, WI with the Memorial service following from 6-7 at the same location and drinks and snacks after the service.
