Hello, and welcome to the AT&T WorldNet newsgroups. My name is Jim,
and I am a technical support representative for AT&T Digital Broadband
Services, High Speed Data. I currently support the AT&T HSD product
in the Dallas/Ft. Worth, TX area and San Diego, CA. My presence here
is unofficial and not endorsed by AT&T or any of its subsidiaries. My
function here is strictly voluntary and is an effort to provide
unoffical support to WorldNet customers, in particular AT&T Digital
Broadband HSD customers in the markets which I service, and to provide
suppot which may otherwise be outside the scope of my responsibilities
in my position with AT&T.

If you have questions which relate to the WorldNet service or AT&T
Digital Broadband High Speed Data service, I encourage you to post
them here. While I cannot possibly answer or address every single
question, I will make every effort to do so where practical and
appropriate. If possible I may at least be able to provide you with
resources or contacts to persons who can answer questions or resolve
issues for you. When posting issues or questions to me, I do request
that you respect a few simple guidelines:

1) Please remember that I am contractually obligated to honor the
best interests of AT&T. This means that I do not engage in spirited
or unspirited debate over company policy. I support one of the most
fascinating and technologically progressive products on the market
today, so if you are looking for vent bad air on an experience you've
had... Well, I'll listen... :-)

2) My purpose here, again is voluntary and in the best interests of
the public and the user population of WorldNet and HSD as a whole. As
such I request that all posts be made directly to the newsgroups where
all can benefit from them.

3) I am not the mediator of this newsgroup. I am making suggestions
that I believe will make this a better place for everyone, but you are
under no obligation to honor them. (I, of course am under no
obligation to acknowledge you, either if you don't.)

4) Please remember that I am here on my own time, which sometimes
comes few and far between, so if I do not reply to you immediately, it
is nothing personal.

I look forward to hearing from you!!!
