Hey SeXXIIItariat!

Thank you for putting on an amazing toast! I've heard so many great things about you guys from the Chairs and last year's team!! So, as a fair warning, this email is long. But, this is a good summary of all the important dates and actions items for everyone! I've tried my best to break it down by USG positions and bold per person to make it easier for each individual to find their tasks. But, it'd still be a good idea to read everything. In the meantime, please let me know if you have any questions and please update me as tasks get completed.


USG Subs:
  • Drop a quick line to all Chairs in your organ who didn't show up today to team toast saying that they were missed! (Bob: Samantha Luce, Scott Yu, and Adam Ganik didn't show today)
  • Set up individual meetings with your chair and make sure you...(1) Finalize topic selection, (2), Work out schedule with 3 checkpoints, (3) Sign WMUN contract
  • Substantive transition meetings (set up in another email)
  • Lotus: Call wait-list people and determine who new chair will be by Monday
Admin:
  • After meeting with Melisa, please set up some tentative registration deadlines
  • Please send email to Woodbridge and other international organizations to get regional university contacts (rmr: Our targets are Latin America, Africa, Europe, Middle East)
Business:
  • Skype Calls: Remen (regarding sponsorship), Ioana (regarding alumni SIG groups)
  • BoA account signover (it'll be on another email thread)
  • Alumni Newsletter: Begin thinking about some things you'd want to include on a newsletter. (Eg: Chair spotlights, Visions/goals for WorldMUN 2014, Secretariat Who's who, etc...)
MPR:
  • Transition meeting w/ Fatima (set up in another email)
  • Logo Design: Start thinking of good logo designs (after our design meeting)
  • Alumni newsletter: Start thinking of good alumni newsletter templates (after our design meeting)
Everyone (Mark these dates):
  • Bid Mtg #1: Sunday, 04/28, 4:00pm-6:00pm @ Lamont Forum Room
  • Bid Mtg #2: Friday, 05/03, 7:00pm-9:00pm @ SOCH
  • Global Chillage: Friday 05/03, 9:00pm-whenever @ Quad (4 rooms)
  • Secretariat Office Cleaning Day: Thursday, 05/02, 1:00pm-4:00pm @ SOCH 229
  • Vision Documents: 2 page blurb on your vision for this upcoming year, by 05/25/13

Attachments (to EVERYONE):
  • Bidpack for Hankuk University of Korea is shared with you guys. Please take a good hard look and make a list of questions for them!
  • Secondly, please take a look at the bids folder that was just shared with you. Please let me know if you haven't received the invite.
  • Thirdly, please look at the sponsorship kit. This will contain all the demographic breakdown of Vancouver's conference, which is pretty indicative of the crowd we get at WorldMUN.
  • LASTLY (IMPT), please come up with a list of 3 cities/countries each that you think would be a great place to host conference if Korea doesn't work out. Give a quick 3 lines/each about why it'd be a great place and email it back by Wednesday.
