Natural gas: the energy of the future with growing interest, according to CME

In the short to medium term, natural gas plays an important role in decarbonizing the global economy, as it now acts as the energy source for the transition to a supposedly electricity-dominated future. But until then, it seems that it is the energy of choice that keeps the world going. Last Tuesday, the CME Group reported that open interest in the natural gas futures markets increased by about 3,600 contracts.
