Explore new infection control teaching resources for higher education faculty
We Are Project Firstline

The Project Firstline website has expanded, making it easier for teaching faculty to bring infection control concepts into the classroom.

We’re excited to share the new Health Professions Infection Control Education Toolkit, created to support faculty teaching future healthcare and public health professionals. Visit the new page to explore:

  • Journal Club: A curated collection of CDC Morbidity and Mortality Weekly Reports (MMWRs) paired with downloadable discussion guides to support critical thinking and classroom discussion

  • Learning Activities: Adaptable activities that help students apply infection control concepts to real-world scenarios

These resources are designed to supplement existing curricula and can be adapted for use across a variety of instructional formats and learning environments.

Project Firstline is excited to support teaching faculty in preparing the next generation of healthcare workers with a strong foundation in infection control. Whether you’re looking for discussion-based learning, interactive activities, or career-focused content, the Health Professions Infection Control Education Toolkit offers flexible options to meet your teaching needs.

Explore the toolkit and download resources for use in your courses and programs.
