DNR Publishes Initial Public Input Summary For Southern Lake Michigan Coastal Regional Master Plan
The Wisconsin Department of Natural Resources (DNR) has published a summary of public comments from input it received during the initial public input period for DNR-managed lands in the Southern Lake Michigan Coastal Ecological Landscape.
The formal public comment period ran from June 11 through July 16, 2025, during which the department held a public meeting and open house on June 23. The DNR received public input by letter, phone, email and hardcopy and online input forms.
The DNR will use the input in the next phase of the planning process, which is the development of the Southern Lake Michigan Coastal Draft Regional Master Plan. The DNR appreciates the public's interest in the properties within the Southern Lake Michigan Coastal region and the time people took to convey their perspectives and experiences.
