Council members will conduct their next meeting in-person and virtually via phone: 608-571-2209 or Teams (Meeting ID: 727 369 273#).
Agenda topics for the council include DNR and legislative updates, non-landfill solid waste and electronics recycling rule revision updates, Solid Waste Infrastructure for Recycling (SWIFR) grant update, current economics of plastics recycling from the Association of Plastic Recyclers, overview of Sibelco's glass recycling operations, and more. Following the business meeting, a tour of Sibelco will be provided. Tour participants must wear long pants, work boots/safety shoes (steel-toe not required), safety glasses, high-vis vest and cut-resistant gloves. Attendees are encouraged to bring their own PPE if available; some PPE will also be available on-site. Completion of a visitor access agreement will be required.
Council on Recycling meetings are open to the public, and members of the public are encouraged to attend and participate.
