Introducing TTB’s New Distilled Spirits Formula Tool

spirits formula tool

We’re excited to announce TTB’s new Distilled Spirits Formula Tool, now available at TTB.gov! This easy-to-use tool was built with distillers and importers in mind – giving you a quick answer to whether your product needs a formula approval before you submit your label application.

Our goal with this new tool is simple: make compliance easier and submissions more accurate so that distillers and importers can get TTB approval more quickly. This new tool ensures distillers and importers have clear, consistent information right at their fingertips.

Here’s what you can expect from the new tool:

  • Clear & Accurate Information: The tool reflects the most current requirements, saving you time sorting through regulations.
  • Improved Guidance: When a formula approval is required, you will get better and more complete information on what you need to submit on your application.
  • Fewer Errors, Faster Approvals: By reducing common application errors that cause delays, the tool should help you confidently submit a complete and correct formula application the first time and speed up your approval.

Brewery or winery? You’re in luck. We also offer a Malt Beverage Formula Tool and a Wine/Cider Formula Tool.

Check out the new Distilled Spirits Formula Tool today at TTB.gov and see how it can help simplify compliance!
