Electronic Case Reporting

Electronic Case Reporting (eCR) automates the near real-time exchange of case report information between electronic health records and state, tribal, local, or territorial health departments. Review the basics of eCR and how the Association of Public Health Laboratories (APHL) Informatics Messaging Service Platform (AIMS) and the Reportable Conditions Knowledge Management System (RCKMS) support eCR.

Effective Communication for Environmental Public Health

Learn how to use the core competencies of environmental public health—education, communication, conflict resolution, and marketing—to communicate effectively about environmental public health.

Additional Trainings & Resources

  • Rural Health. The Rural Health Information Hub provides access to current and reliable resources and tools to help you learn about rural health needs and work to address them.
  • Pediatric Vaccination Video Series. Vaccine accessibility is important to protect children and families from serious illnesses. The Public Health Foundation, in partnership with the Wellness Equity Alliance, has developed a four-part educational video series to support healthcare professionals in improving pediatric vaccination coverage and health literacy.
  • Lead Prevention Resources. CDC recently launched the Lead-Free Communities Toolkit. The toolkit can help communities develop comprehensive plans for systematically identifying and eliminating lead exposure hazards. Healthcare providers and public health professionals can also enroll in this training to learn about the importance of lead exposure as a public health problem and the need to increase lead testing and linkage to care services for young children. Earn FREE CE.
