In this week's Campaign Catch Up, CBN News Chief Political Analyst David Brody, John Stolnis, and Dan Andros analyze President Biden's response to the assassination attempt on former President Donald Trump and discuss the need for more civil political rhetoric during the 2024 campaign. After the attack on Trump, both Republicans and Democrats are urging Americans to tone down political discourse. The former President publicly attributed his survival on Saturday to divine intervention, stating that "it was God alone" who saved his life.

 

The Republican National Convention opened Monday in Milwaukee, WI. Delegates officially named Donald Trump as the party's nominee and he announced his vice presidential pick: U.S. Senator J.D. Vance (R/OH). Senator Vance is a Marine veteran and Yale Law School graduate. The evening's high point came when Trump made his first public appearance since the attempt on his life to a roaring, emotional welcome.
