to World War II and the Global War on Terror
Hello,
My grandma wrote a book, about my grandfather's Time in the Army in
WWII. Before my grandfather died, he left tapes on what it was like
over there, and personal stories about what he went through. Now that
he's been gone for 12 years it is very strange to here his voice
again, when I here the tapes his voice sounds so different then what I
remembered. I never thought that there would still be people writing
about WWII. We all seem to be a dieing breed. I give a big thank you
for who ever is writing this book World War II and the Global War on
Terror. Thank you so much for keeping the memories of the young men
that sacrificed so much for this Nation alive. My family has done our
part, but there are so many more stories that have not been told. Soon
the men that fought for the very essence of freedom, will be lost to
history, and the sacrafices they made for us, the people that they
(the soldiers) saved from NAZI's, that had no regard for human life,
that would kill them if they batted an eye. Soon all of this history
will be lost. Already they are changing history classes in school's.
How long will it be before we all forget, and history forgets what
they fought for, completely. That's why my grandma was driven to write
what my grandfather dictated in his recording's. My Grandfather's
story was given to historian's and proven to be accurate, and to be
more sure of it's accuracy we sent it to Lt. Col. Hamilton, who was my
grandfather's Commanding Officer in the War, said that my grandfather
hadn't lost his mind or memory because it was all true. After awhile
we saw what Kindle was and dicided that we would make it into an e-
book and put the book on Kindle, where it is currently priced at 3.99
