Whew -- this was a much bigger job than I thought it would be, but I
think it's done now.

You should now be able to install worldOutline.root on an OPML Editor
server, if you follow these instructions carefully.

http://howto.worldoutline.org/

Please report success or failure on the mail list. Include screen
shots and/or pointers to web pages if they will help us understand
what went wrong (or didn't).

Thanks in advance for your help.

BTW, I'm about to release the parts that update a worldOutline.root to
the same code as the new ones are running.

We have to watch for breakage here.

However, you should know that I've applied these changes to my server,
and modified nothing in my config or members.root, and it's running
fine.

The thing to look out for is that your admin user account is set up,
or you've set nameMasterUser in config.worldOutline.prefs with your
username.

The user who accesses your server without being signed-in will get
your view of the server.

The domain name and all the other settings, except for the S3
settings, are derived from the default attributes of the master user.

If you have a running server, you must have set nameMasterUser in a
previous corner-turn, so I'm fairly confident this will all "just
work."

But you never know...

I always think this is the last big shakeup. :-)

Running into a problem with my existing WO setup.

When I am logged in, as the masterUser, and select 'prefs' from the
menu, I get the following error:

500 INTERNAL ERROR

Can't evaluate the expression because the name "username" hasn't been
defined.

This time the problem was reproducible on my test server, so I was
able to fix it.

Update worldOutline.root for the fix.

Thank you for the fix.

I can now access my 'pref' section as masterUser, but have a new
issue:

On every prefs page, I receive a macro error for the actual pref.

Example of prefs?page=1.1

Header Graphic

Enter the HTML for your header graphic here.

[Macro error: Can't find a sub-table named "".]

The error is the same on every prefs page: [Macro error: Can't find a
sub-table named "".]

I'm seeing that error too.

Working on it.

ok, while you're working on that, I'm going to start a fresh server
and run through the new howto install process.

New parts came through, server is updated, prefs working again as
expected. Thank You!
