Hey guys, I have been giving some consideration to some of the things
Aaron said in his last message and thought that I might offer this up
as a way to stimulate the fantasy creativity.

I propose everyone spend some time and create a character, and by that
I do not mean load up DDI and fill in numbers, I mean sit down and
think up a heroic archetypal adventurer that inspires you and tell us
about them.

If you aren't sure how to facilitate such a thing start off by asking
yourself questions that lead to interesting facts about your fictional
hero, for instance:

What is their name? Where are they from? Who inspires them to be so
great? What are their goals and dreams? Do they have a sweetheart?
Have they inspired anyone? The more questions you ask, the deeper and
richer your knowledge of them, and the better you are equipped to be
them come gameday.

Also, I have been considering changing it up and DMing a light, fast-
moving episodic based series of adventures that may or may not involve
a whole lot of rollplay, as exercises designed to get us all telling a
story together instead of just sitting around rolling dice. Giving
Aaron a bit of a break from all the pressure of DMing for a few
sessions avery so often, and these characters could be part of that
game.

This is the character I made, you can see me starting with basic facts, and after just a few more and more just poured out. remember this was done without using anything but my own creativity, no rule books or dice at all.

Liam the Lighthearted

Liam has fair skin

Liam has wavy sandy blonde hair.

He is roughly six feet tall and weighs about one hundred and ninety pounds.

He wears a red shirt and a black and gold tunic, a sturdy leather belt with a gem studded gold buckle, he wears black trousers and knee high leather traveling boots of fine make. Around his neck is a golden chain with what may be some sort of holy symbol. He is not without protection as his belt holds a scabbard, with a well crafted dagger handle easily visible.

The man seems young, yet not overly childlike, his smiling face wears signs of maturity as well.  He walks with a bit of a swagger which would lead one to believe he is confident and perhaps even cocky.

A signet ring on his finger tells that he is of nobility, a knowledge of heraldry would reason him to be from Avolonia, this would also explain the expensive clothing and the swagger.

Liam was born to a modestly wealthy house near the border of Nirva, lower nobles that dealt in matters of commerce and merchant law. Liam is the fifth son, and as such received very little when his father fell ill three years past. He had been an impetuous child, and he and his brothers did not see eye to eye often, leaving him very few options when the time came to make his own way in life. He had always had a silver tongue and used it to charm his way through the bedchambers of many women during his travels which he referred to as adventures, until one fateful day when he found himself in a position he could not charm his way out of. His boasting of being an adventurer had caught the attention of a local magistrate whose daughter was his latest victim. The daughter bragged of his exploits to the father who publicly hired him on to aid in defense of a merchant caravan, this turn of fate turned him into a real adventurer, and as such has been seeking thrills on the road as well as in beds throughout the lands ever since.

Currently he finds himself on the road, training in magical arts and can be often found performing tricks to impress the ladies or evade the local guards.
