To Whom It May Concern;
This notice has been generated because your character or a character you control in the World of Aeune campaign setting has recently achieved a leveled up. Please read this notice carefully and fully. This notice describes your rights and what you must do in response to the level up earned. Failure to act appropriately to the level up will nominate your character to be subject to penalties from the DM, and other negative results.
Steps you must take to complete your characters level up:
It is important to follow the appropriate steps to sucessfully level up your character. Improperly leveling up your character can result in a less effective and fun character, the censure of your fellow players, unallocated hit points, and possibly character death.
The first step you must take is to determine what new level you have now achieved. This information should be acquired from your DM. If this information is not available, you may need to wait to level up your character until you have further instructions regarding what new level you have earned. It is generally a good idea to prepare in advance what new powers, feats, skills, abilities, and possibly items will be chosen or affected by leveling up a single level. However, in some circumstances, you may need to prepare more than one level in advance.
Upon determining what new level you have achieved, you may then proceed to choose your new powers, feats, skills, abilities, and items, if applicable, appropriate to the new level. You will need to complete this process prior to your next gaming session. You may be subject to penalties from your DM if you fail to level your character up prior to the next gaming session. These penalties may be incontestable, although you may have an option to revoke them upon successfully leveling up your character.
With your character now leveled up appropriately, recheck all your choices and be sure you have selected the features that you like most, being sure to view each option available to you. Some options are not obvious, or may be scattered across multiple sources. After completing this re-check, you will then need to obtain a physical copy (a hard copy) of the new changes to your character. This can be accomplished by entering the new information in a character generator tool, such as those provided by wizards of the coast, and printing the character sheet on any modern printer, using standard paper sizes. You may optionally print and make character power cards, for use while playing in the World of Aeune campaign setting.
To avoid any further difficulties, is it best to notify your DM of your level up prior to the next gaming session. If you are not able to complete any of the above steps, be sure to notify your DM in an appropriate manner, so that arrangements can be made to fulfill your character's level up. Any other questions should also be directed to your local DM, who may arbitrate any disputes and settle any other matters pertaining to this process. Any determinations made to change the terms of the notice only will only affect the terms under dispute, and not the entirety of the notice. Your agreement to accept these terms is understood by reading this notice. Failure to read this notice does not exempt you from the terms described. Either way, you agree and have no choice.
