So far, Sunday afternoon, ending early, looks best. Let me know how
this sounds.
Also, in the interest of speeding up gameplay, I'll be implementing
another game mechanic. Since we did about 7 combat rounds in 6 hours,
We'll have combat work a little differently.
At the top of the round, there will be 4 minutes to clarify rules or
ask any needed questions. Then, each player will have 1 minute to
complete their action and end their turn. Game lag aside, any part of
a minute taken after the first will incur a -1 penalty to whatever
action they're attempting. The DM will have half as much time for
monsters, and will incur the same penalties. I think that this, and
some of the changes I've made to the encounters, will help to balance
the amount of time in combat, and help avoid turn by turn recap of
what everyone just did. This way, you always know you're going to be
going again soon, and you'll always know something's actually
happening on the game board.
In addition, completing your turn in less than 30 seconds will grant a
+1 bonus to your action (the DM gets no bonuses, only penalties).
Some other details apply listed below, but that's all for now. If
anyone would like to try out this dynamic prior to gaming this week,
let me know.
Aaron
(Some other details apply:
Done is done; remembering a missed modifier or unspent action outside
of your turn is not allowed - you're taking away from the 1 minute
someone else has. So does querying the DM outside your turn.
Note that the game allows you to prepare actions - except for moving -
outside your turn - just don't submit them until your turn has
'begun'.
The DM will not take questions during the 30 seconds per monster time
limit, you sneaky players - he knows there's a penalty and won't make
special accommodations for himself.
At top of the round discussion time, the players can agree to a
general break from the game (such as afk).
Anyone afk during their 'minute' will be skipped, unless they've
previously asked someone else to complete their action.
Each turn, the DM will name who's turn has just begun on the timer,
and who's up next.)

Rather than have a game today, I'd like to meet up with several of you
individually to work out some d20pro details to help make the game
easier to 'use' while we game. I'd try to do both, but we'd likely
have little time for play. Sorry to make you wait!
Let me know if this coming Thursday, Friday, Saturday, or Sunday are
good/best for gaming again. Thanks,
Aaron
