For those who may be interested, the US State Department is
advertising a new program in "National Security Language Exchanges."
They will pay for you as a high school or college student to travel
abroad to an area where you can learn a language deemed "vital to
national security" like Arabic, Farsi, Chinese, etc. You should be
aware that they may well try and encourage you to go into intelligence
work afterwards. However, this could also be a great opportunity to
see the world and learn a language, and have it all be paid for.
