SUBJECT: WORLD LINE DANCE NEWSLETTER SURVEY WEEK ENDING 5/31/26
PLEASE READ NOTE FROM ME: Super short survey this week but there were over 600 people at the Marathon and I’m sure they are still there dancing and not voting. There were some great dances taught so I’m going to REALLY bug you to vote this week. Eurodance is coming up in two weeks and there will be dances done there along with others because this is an important event in the UK. I know you think I just want you to vote just to satisfy me, but I can’t tell you how many people told me this weekend (and always tell me) how much they depend on the survey to choose the dances they teach and learn. I also want you to imagine someone who you really care about working so hard to write a good dance, do a step sheet, practice teaching it so they can teach it to all of us, checking the survey to see if it got any votes, and most of them getting little or no recognition, but your vote means a LOT to people trying to get their dances noticed and taught. It is not easy! It may be only one vote to you but it means a lot more to a choreographer when your vote validates all the time and effort and BRAVERY that goes into putting their “baby” out there and I GET IT. I talk to many of the young choreographers and people trying to get some recognition and I know what I’m telling you is the truth. It also means a lot to the people who have been doing it for years. They also put in the time and effort and they have an added stress of the pressure to keep doing it over and over, so PLEASE take a moment to send your votes in each week. It doesn’t even have to be my survey. There are others and the same thing applies to all of them!
