Subject: Let's Dance Day social - Jan. 8th, 1 to 4 p.m. Beardall Sr. Ctr. Orlando FROM: Lindy (lindysda...@gmail.com) (www.lindysdancelines.jimdo.com)
Our next LDD is Saturday, Jan. 8th from 1 to 4 p.m. The playlist changed a good little bit this time and is here:
JAN. 8, 2022 - LDD PLAYLIST - 1 TO 4 P.M.
* new since last LDD.
You may think that I know all of these dances, but NO, I do not know/remember them all either. We all just have fun trying to help our feet remember, and having visiting fun!!! If you variate, you might just meet a new friend!!!!!!!!! Larry (much better voice than mine) will call the steps for the first couple of walls on most of the dances (that don't have a floor split).
If you want more information, just email me. I hope to see you on Jan. 8th or before.
Merry Christmas and Happy New Year to all. 🎄🙏🎅🎉
SUBJECT: ZOOM
FROM: Lindy lindysda...@gmail.com
Zoom has been a lifeline for our feet for very nearly 2 years now!!! Who ever thought it would have lasted this long?????? and yet it continues 😷 even though it is much better and we are able to have some live classes/workshops again now....Yea!!
I have been teaching on Zoom pretty much from the beginning of the pandemic - and in the process have picked up sooooo many friends from everywhere in the world and what a joy it has been - and continues to be!!! Martha, in Tennessee and I have joined forces and tag-team teach as much as we can. For a while I even had a monthly social, that I called "Mini Zoom Let's Dance Day" (MZLDD) and we even learned how to take zoom pictures of the groups. I'm still not approaching the expertise of a 7-yr. old, but I have come a long way, thanks to the help of friends.
Martha copied the list of dances that we have taught over the last two years.....a 2020 list and a 2021 list. (there were 91 dances in 2021) I sent it to all the zoomers who dance with us and asked for their top 3 dances (some couldn't narrow it down to 3), but the results of the survey are as follows:
#1 - Would Have Loved Her
#2 - Midnight Mess Around
#3 - this was a 5 way tie!!!!
Country In 3
Truth Be Told
Train Wreck
Out Out
Here We Go
This was just a little fun impromptu survey for 2021 and we will probably review these dances in the next couple of weeks or so - if we can get our feet to do them again. lol
If anyone else is interested in dancing with us on zoom, just email me and I will add you to the list for the link and day/time of the classes (let me know where you live so I can figure out the times for you).
I am so thankful for being able to keep my feet moving and brain working (sorta) when we could not get together in person for so long, and mostly thankful for meeting all the new (and reconnecting with many old) friends too!!!!!
Many thanks to Carol and Stacy for keeping us all connected!!
Merry Christmas and Happy New Year!! 🎅🎄🎉

How to Vote in the Weekly Survey List up to 8 of your favorites with choreographer and level if you know it and email to me at tka...@aol.com before 6:30 PM EDT on Sunday. Please add the choreographer and level of the dance if you know it. |
Reminder from Carol Please do not number the votes 1-8, send me extra things, or put the name on one line and the other information on another line, it saves me time because I have to erase all extra things and spacing and formatting before I can sort. Thanks, as always, for your votes. Classes, socials, and events are starting again and we NEED to know what dances most people will know or want to know so your vote is important. |
