NOTE FROM ME: We had a great time at the Florida Line Dance Classic in Orlando last weekend. I will be writing a report and hope others will share theirs with all of us and let us know what dances and activities you liked. There were some really good dances taught so we will be busy learning them for the next few weeks, I’m sure.
ANOTHER IMPORTANT NOTE! I THINK I have started a new PERSONAL Facebook Page called Carol Craven since I haven't been able to get signed into my personal page or the World Line Dance Newsletter Group since early November, so if you would like to be added as a friend, let me know, and if you receive a note from me about my approving you as a friend or inviting you, it really is from me. I hope I can figure out how to get into the group or I will also be starting a new group so if you get a note about that, it will also be from me and not spam. In the meantime, Stacy is posting things I ask her to post on the World Line Dance Newsletter Group site. Thanks, Stacy!
HOW TO VOTE IN THE WEEKLY SURVEY: List up to 8 of your favorites with choreographer and level if you know it and email to me at tka...@aol.com before 6 PM Sunday. Please add the choreographer and level of the dance if you know it.
Thanks for taking a moment to vote AND I HOPE SOME OF YOU WHO AREN'T VOTING WILL DO SO THIS WEEK -- to those of you who vote faithfully THANK YOU!!
If you have friends who want to receive the free daily newsletter, tell them to send an email to me at tka...@aol.com with SUBSCRIBE in the subject line and I'll add them.
Do you want to read the newsletter faster? I always put the word, SUBJECT, befo
re each post. Just do a search for that word and you can skip from topic to topic quickly and read what you are interested in reading.
TO CONTACT ME OR TO SEND SOMETHING OR SEND A POST FOR THE NEWSLETTER, WRITE TKA...@AOL.COM. It will just come to me and not the entire mailing list.

SUBJECT: Let's Dance Day daytime social at Beardall Sr. Ctr. in Orlando, Fl. from noon to 4 p.m. on Dec. 14th (this coming Saturday)
FROM: Lindy (lindysda...@gmail.com) and www.lindysdancelines.jimdo.com
Our next Let's Dance Day Saturday daytime social will be this Saturday, Dec. 14th. We dance from noon to 4 p.m.
As always, we meet in the ballroom on the second floor of the Beardall Sr. Center at 800 Delaney Ave. (corner of Delaney and Gore St., right off Orange Ave.) in Orlando, Fl. Great dance floor and parking all around the building and the [empty and for lease] bank next door, but use the Gore St. handicapped door where the brown WELCOME awning is. Other doors are usually locked on the weekends. There is an elevator.
We have a playlist of 65~ dances in 4 hours of non-stop dancing fun for ALL LEVELS - ALL AFTERNOON! Remember that this is a social, (not a class...so no teaches), so come prepared to dance all your fav's...good practice before and after workshops/events and lots of fun friends!!! Many of the dances can be picked up on the floor, so don't fret. We do call steps on a few of the dances if there is no floor split...but only a couple of walls to get your
started. The December playlist is posted on the website! (usually the new one is available 2 weeks or so before the social). So practice!!
And in case you want to learn some of these dances, I teach most of them in my various classes on Monday, Thursday and Friday. If you come early on Monday, we do mostly improver level the first hour-ish and then move on a bit into intermediate and sometimes advanced. Stay as long as you want as your confidence increases and you will see that many of the dances are not as hard as you may have thought!!!
If you are new to our social, we split the floor with usually the intermediate and plus dances near the stage and the beginner/improver dances near the hall and there are a string of lights separating the space. There is always someone to help lead both areas. You can pick up most of the easier dances on the dance floor. This is a FUN, no stress, day, so please put on your happy face and come have fun with us!!
Don't forget to bring your lunch/snax/water or soft drinks and just eat when you are hungry as there is no 'lunch break', and I don't serve food.
There are machines on the first floor if you forget yours.
Just in case you don't know EVERYONE, and especially if you have trouble meeting new friends, just turn the wrong way....voila' a new friend right there in your face!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Please come dance with us when you are able to, but if you can't come, I hope you are having fun
ing somewhere, and hope to
with you soon and often! ![]()
The next LDD social will be January 4th. (first Sat. in the new year!)
