Subject: The Marathon 2025
FROM: Jamie Leick (tom_jam...@yahoo.com)
Got home yesterday from the Line Dance Marathon and collapsed! Incredible weekend with fantastic choreographers and instructors! Many thanks for Jean Garr and Scott Blevins for putting together yet another amazing event. And kudos to your support staff who work tirelessly behind the lines with the finer details that no one ever gets to see but certainly feel when everything goes smoothly!!!
I took SO MANY classes… and danced way longer at night that I should’ve with awesome playlists from DJ Jill Babinec!
Every class I took was amazing. Loved them all! And picking them was hard! Thankfully we could split up and make sure everything we wanted to learn was covered. The dance of the weekend for me, however, was LIVE LIFE MY WAY by Fred Whitehouse. My son’s high school graduating class choose Now or Never by Bon Jovi as their class song. So over 20 years ago, this song was played in my car ALL THE TIME! As soon as Fred had posted the music on Facebook saying there was a dance coming out - I couldn’t wait. When I saw it on the schedule for this past weekend, it was the #1 dance I NEEDED to take! It did not disappoint!!!
Classes I took included:
Beautiful People
Hold Your Horses
Beautiful Stranger
This Is Nightlife
Love Me Harder
Coming Back To Me
The Way I Wanna
High Five Samba
Here Now
Good On You
No Signal
Bring It To Mama
Our Kingdom
Live Life My Way
Hush Hush
Transcendental Cha
Congratulations Jean & Scott - another epic event!
Subject: New ZOOM Class for Wednesday Nights
From: John Dembiec
I'm officially starting the Zoom for my people who are snowbirds or away that can't attend. Here are the details:
It's from 7-9:30 (or longer if it goes later)
It's $10 and payment made via Venmo, Zelle, Cash App, or PayPal if it's your only way to pay, but not preferred. That info will be given via the e-mail below.
Please send in your request for the link to: linedanc...@gmail.com by 2PM on that Wednesday before class to give us time to get you the link.
My class structure is still the same with my quick walk throughs of dances taught at 6 from the beginner class. Normal teaches at 7:20ish and around 8:15. Always the possibility to do a walk through on something recently taught afterward, but dancing, dancing, dancing.
Any questions, please e-mail me at the above address.

To my New England dance instructors, in case you haven't seen it yet on Where Are We Line Dancing Tonight or Line Dancers New England, I have created a public Google calendar for YOU to list your classes, dances, and events! To simply see the calendar, check out https://bit.ly/4jwZncR. Feel free to share that URL if you like anywhere at all.
To add listings to the calendar, I need to give you access. Just email me at aplj...@gmail.com and I'll set you up!
This is for NEW ENGLAND area people only. If anyone outside New England wants to do something similar, I'm happy to help you set it up.
The concept is that this will be a central place for anyone looking for places to dance to find exactly what's in the area they want. I hope it helps.
