Okay people, here's the plan. Post responses to this document. Number your responses so people know which ones below you are answering. Then, post what you came up with...This will help cover all possible ideas from the Tea Party! :)

Columbian Exchange

Walk around and talk to people. Find answers to the questions as you talk to your class mates.

1. Find someone who benefited from the Colombian exchange.  Who are they and how did they benefit?

2.  Find someone who viewed the exchange as a negative event.  Who are they and what negative effects did they elaborate on?  How did they feel about the exchange?

3. Find a plant– what are they and where did they come from?  What impacts have they had in the world?

4. Find a plant from the Americas that is now planted around the world.  Why have people around the world planted it?

5. Find an animal that came with the Spanish and had a negative impact on American Indians.  What was the animal, why did the Spanish bring it, and what did it do in the Americas?

6. Find an animal that might have had a positive impact.  What was the animal and what was the impact?

7. Find someone who disagreed with the Spanish conquests– who is this person and what did they think about the Spanish conquests?

8. Find a disease.  What is it?  What did it do?

9. Find someone you have never heard of.  Who are they and how did they feel about the events we call the Colombian exchange?

10.  Find someone/something that may have had an impact on language.  What language was introduced, and into what region/area is it now spoken?
