iwant to ask you if there is going to be an offline mode for battlefield v . I personally believe that the game will be more fun with an offline mode because you have the freedom to mess it up and second it will be more playable for those players who had bad internet connection like me . There are some people who don't buy the game because it doesn't have offline modes. If you want you can add an offline mode at the end of the game's lifetime to be playable after the game's lifetime. Thanks for reading .

I know but , offline game modes are more fun because you can sit and relax without thinking that a "good" player might kill you from a "smart" hiding spot . In offline modes the game feels more like a game . The games are here, for relaxing and joying not for stress and rage. Multiplayer modes are fun to because you can involve your gaming skills and challenging yourself but with an offline mode you can learn the multiplayer game modes , you can practice your skills for online and you should have fun with your own way . So i believe that an offline mode will be perfect for such a good game , imagine that how much fun will be : a mode like arcade from star wars battlefront ii that you can choose a map , costumize your weapon and characrer and choose the side you want to fight with but with objectives like grand operations not just a simple deathmatch. I think this will work it will bring more players and it will bring old players back.

I have the same problem . Ea should add an offline mode . The game will be alive for more time with an offline mode. An offline mode i believe it will save the game . Come on EA and DICE i believe you can handle it.

But most, if not all, of the aforementioned features are pretty much old hat by now. Even some of the voice sets are reused, and at this point Team17 has seen fit to let players create their own weapons as opposed to making original ones for them. However, Battle Islands does add an additional element of strategy in the form of the eponymous Battle Islands. At the beginning of the game, Colonel Full Metal Jacket Worm asks the player to choose a landscape for their Battle Island, from a selection of six different islands (nuclear wasteland, underground bunker, disturbingly Vietnam-esque jungle, etc.) that will serve as their home base for the rest of the campaign, as well as multiplayer. Before every match, players will be briefed in a Fire Emblem-esque war room, where they can do such things as scan battlefield topography (and enemy positions), steal enemy weapons, drop additional ordinance, and snipe down enemy worms before the game has even started. To counter this, however, players can also parachute worms to a different location than seen with enemy reconnaissance, causing certain Battle Island mechanisms to be more useful than others. Nevertheless, however, these pregame mechanics definitely add a new layer, however thin, to a series that is fraught with strategic thinking, despite its nonchalant, happy-go-explodey exterior.

Unfortunately, sometimes players may be distracted, at least visually, from their strategy, as the graphics in Worms: Battle Islands are at best simplistic and at worst dangerously blurry. In certain locales, worms can be difficult to see even when painted the most contrasting color possible, and precious seconds are wasted trying to look for them; furthermore, everything seems to have a somewhat fuzzy look to it, as if anti-aliasing was required on every graphic in the game, which can be very distracting on the first few plays of the game. However, these are minor quibbles, and players who play more than half an hour will get used to these graphical complaints, if not sigh a little and resign themselves to them.

Our coverage of Battlefield 4 got rather interrupted by the arrival of a baby. It happens. So in trying to catch up, I wanted to play through the single player campaign, see how it compared to COD: Ghosts'. Yeah. That would have been nice, wouldn't it. But then EA happened.

2) Launch game. Except no. Clicking "Play" took me to a web browser, and the Battlelog site. Except no. Because it told me that there was an error with my login details. The ones it hadn't yet asked me for.

This is pitiful. After the clusterfuck of idiocy that accompanied SimCity's pathetically embarrassing launch earlier this year, you'd imagine EA might have gained some insight into the abject stupidity of making your game near impossible for people to play. The above likely happened because of a blip on their servers. But it happened. And goodness knows how often they blip. I tried to play a single-player game, with no interest in the multiplayer component, and I was forced through a monstrous process of gibberish that had nothing to do with anything. Sure, if it weren't permanently spying on my otherwise offline gaming I wouldn't get the Wuzzles sticker to put on my soldier's backpack in the online game, or whatever blither it might be. I think I'd scrape through.

And yes, BF4 is considered, by the hardcore die-hard fans, to be a multiplayer game, it's single-player there for only the silly people. But what die-hard fans tend to forget is that they aren't everyone else, and the single-player game was created - at vast expense - for people to play. Except then the bullshit gets involved and what a miserable experience it is to try to.

Update: People are reporting switching Origin to Offline mode gets you a working version of the game. Two things there. 1) Why the hell should that be necessary? and 2) I don't want it in offline mode, when updates, etc. A useful workaround, but one that should never be needed in the first place.

It's a sad day for Battlefield fans as DICE and the Battlefield team announce the retirement of online services for Battlefield 1943 and Battlefield: Bad Company 1 & 2. The journey for these iconic titles will come to an end on December 8, 2023. In preparation for this, starting on April 28, 2023, Battlefield 1943 and Battlefield: Bad Company 1 & 2 will be removed from digital storefronts, and players will no longer be able to purchase them.
