In either case the Right view is included in the Views Toolbar/Tool Palette. If Windows, you can reset the tools on that toolbar as @dezmo shows. You can also create a new custom toolbar that includes the Views toolbar buttons. On Mac you can Customize Tool Palette and drag the views buttons to the top tool palette.
I wanted to customize the View WIndow but it seems the right ICon has magically appeared. Adjusting to the new icons. Still there is no option to add or remove oneof the views. I know that this is the first time I have ever seen the bottom view in the View Toolbar.
I have the latest version of SketchUp AND Enscape. I have unloaded, reloaded several times. Ensacpe will not show up as an installed extension. I've looked under the main toolbar and under tool menus. NOTHIN'! HELP!
In case you haven't done so already, could you please uninstall Enscape, reboot your machine, and re-install our latest release as found here once more, this time for "all users" as seen here?
I was having the same problem and was saddened to see that 3.2 doesn't yet support SketchUp '22. Any idea on when Enscape 3.3 might drop? I saw "Spring 2022", but I didn't know if there was a tentative date.
Thanks!
You can already make use of Enscape with SU 2022 using our latest preview which you can acquire here. Enscape 3.3 will also be released in less than two weeks - I am sorry about this misunderstanding but we do not state anywhere that our current release supports SketchUp 2022, so I do hope you will just be able to make use of the preview until 3.3 comes out officially. In the future, you can also always refer to our system requirements here.
I just upgraded to Sketchup 2022 but can't get Enscape to work with it. Enscape just doesn't show up in the View/Toolbar menu. I've tried reinstalling Enscape and even tried a workaround, which was suggested in this forum for earlier Sketchup upgrades, as follows:
I'm embarrassed now. As an 8 year veteran of SketchUp, I just started to write a comment about how the latest version of Enscape still wasn't working with SketchUp 2022 because the Enscape buttons weren't showing up in the tool set the same way it always did in previous iterations, even after I verified that Enscape was listed as an installed extension in the "Extension Manager". I was feeling angry and frustrated. I had the whole thing typed out and was about to hit Reply. But then I realized that this latest version simply needs to be selected as an active tool:
"View"-->"Toolbars..." (then check the Enscape box).
Good thing I didn't publicly confess to making such an amateur mistake.
Have an issue with sketchbook freezing each time i click toolbar option under view. I have just reinstalled Sketchbook pro 2021 on my windows 10 laptop and the issue remains. Also when i am now using drawing tools lines are not complete or partially visible. I have downloaded check up and my system is fine for sketchup. I need advice as the app just hangs.
Sketchup slip of the keyboard! I checked if it were off screen - i can open the preference box under windows and its within the main screen.
My graphics drivers are up to date (Intel IRIS R) and screens on extend. Re screenshots the first is on opening, the second is in selecting toolbar and the third when the menus are greyed out and i cant draw,
Thanks Colin - tried what you suggested but no joy, thanks for help though. I ended up restarting and then working on laptop screen rather than monitor. Works fine on the smaller screen but really wanted to work on a high def monitor. Do you know if there are issues with SU working on extended displays. I have it connected through a HDMI via a multi port connecter.
Laptop was open - I was watching a SU tutorial on my HP laptop (Spectre i7 10th Gen so processing ok and lots of available memory) at the same time i had SU on my monitor - btw monitor not 4k its QHD.
Colin apologies for delay and a BIG thankyou as your suggestion did work and i have managed to get the toolbar menu to appear. I did as you suggested alt+spacebar then M and arrow and the menu appears on my mouse curser within my laptop screen and can only be seen if all other windows are reduced. I then move the toolbar back to the sketchup screen and its fine until i want to reopen the toolbar option again and then i need to repeat the process. How do i get the toolbar menu to open in the screen where i have sketch up?
Just Checking, Make sure you have the menu in the right place on the last instance of sketchup that you close. All setting like that will remember the last one, so if you happen to have two open and change one but close the other last it will remember the wrong one.
I see this type of thing for users that have disabled windows UAC.
This causes issues for lots of software installing incorrectly and simultaneously opens your PC up to malware and other nefarious things.
As you can see, on the left-hand side of the screen, the main toolbar will shift downward. THIS is the main issue I am having and thus, my request to create a way to lock the toolbars. Furthermore, I performed a test by removing the second row of toolbars in the upper portion of the window, so only a single row remained. I moved the left-hand toolbar back up to where it needs to be, closed SU and reopened. As I suspected, the left-hand toolbar did not shift downward.
The long and the short of it, when multiple rows of toolbars are placed in the upper portion of the window, the left-hand toolbars (I usually have more than just the default there), will all shift downward, due to the upper rows of toolbars present.
Thanks @Box, I never considered that it was the actual toolbar that was causing the issue. To be honest, throughout my entire CAD career, I had always been rather OCD about what I had on my screen, regardless if i used it or not. From AutoCAD to Microstation to SU, I seemed to have a flow in what I set up on my screen, hence the large toolset being displayed. I am pretty savvy with using keyboard shortcuts with SU, despite having the toolbar out there. I even considered yesterday to ditch it altogether but the OCD kicked in again, and I left it alone.
Sketchup / omniverse connector installed and appears on extension drop down menu but when selected nothing happens, I cannot find the toolbar which I have seen on the demo videos. Any suggestions would be appreciated
After the Enscape installer has finished running and has been closed, you should then be able to open SketchUp, whereby Enscape should then be visible as a toolbar in the SketchUp User Interface(UI). When using Enscape for SketchUp, the toolbar will appear as a floating window.
You can leave Enscape open while you make any desired changes in SketchUp (e.g. cross sections, materials or geometric changes in the model). Your changes will show up instantly as long as you have Live Updates activated in Enscape. Activating the Synchronize Views will sync the perspective view from SketchUp to the Enscape window.
I'm using Sketchup 2016 and OpenStudio 1.10. I accidentally hit the red x on one of my OpenStudio toolbars and I can't figure out how to get it back. It's a silly problem, but I've been looking through menus for a while now and can't figure out how to display it again - this is the toolbar with features like: open inspector, create spaces from floor plan, import idf, etc...
You might need to explain a bit more what your issue is, but generally if the toolbars are not staying where you put them it can be a permissions issue. Your new rig may have some differences to your old system. Did you install 2021 using the , right click, run as admin method?
I can PM my phone number if you want since we are in roughly the same timezone.
So, it would REALLY be nice, if the developers of mac version of SU pro would clean up the toolbar customization AND the docking ability of all the window features (entity, components, layers, scenes, etc.)
I should look into this, because I am curious about it, but at the time SketchUp would have been deciding how to dock palettes there was a lawsuit going on between Adobe and Macromedia, over how to dock palettes. The outcome was that Adobe acquired Macromedia, that settled things.
I will concede that the way all extensions seem to open their palette on top of each other in the top left corner can be confusing, you have to move several of them to get to the one you want. My solution is to close all of them, then only open the one I want at that time.
My colleague has a problem with using SketchUp2023 on windows10.After he added tool bars and closed SU and reopen it, they are gone. He is using note PC(as main one) and another display and mainly using another display with opening SU. Should he open it on the screen of note PC? It would be great if someone give me some advice.
usually, to save toolbars position, you have to save the model file once before closing. try positioning a few (to avoid doing all over again for nothing), save the model (even if empty) anywhere, and try to open sketchup again.
