I want to delete everything in myVar before the last slash (including the last slash), so that myVar ends up storing only baz1234_. How can I remove everything and store the result in a variable?
This was a fun challenge I attempted on my recent playthrough of Sekiro, inspired by a similar challenge in Dark Souls 1 to do everything possible before the Gargoyles (for those unfamiliar with Dark Souls, they're 'intended' to be the second boss of that game, but can be attempted much later). Since the world of Sekiro really opens up after you finish Ashina Outskirts, I thought it would be a fun idea to try a similar style of challenge for this game, with Genichiro acting as an equivalent of the gargoyles as he's also the second 'intended' boss of Sekiro.
I'll give a general overview of what you can accomplish, and then break it down further area by area in case anyone wants a more detailed guide of what you can do before Genichiro. This all assumes you're not using any glitches - more can be accomplished with the use of sequence-breaking bugs, but doing this can mess with your playthrough and prevent you from progressing further without using more sequence-breaking.
For the prosthetic upgrades specifically, you can obtain all everything except Fulminated Mercury before Genichiro, though some rarer upgrades are in set quantities. For example, Adamantite Scrap can be acquired pre-Genichiro, but you're limited to just 6 from around Mibu Village. This means you can only get 2 of the 3 prosthetic upgrades that need this material (Sparking Axe, Sen Throw, and Piercing Sabimaru). I went with the Axe and Sabimaru personally, since I already had the Phantom Kunai for range. To get Scrap Magnetite, I farmed the Senpou Temple Battle Monks outside of the Senpou Temple Main Hall idol, and I could get around 1 a run by killing 2 of them with Mibu Possession Balloon, Bell Demon, and both Virtuous Deed skills. Supposedly these guys drop Adamantite Scrap but I never got one in all my time farming them so I assume it's only after Genichiro (same with Fulminated Mercury from the gunmen near the Gun Fort and Poison Pool idols). Even still, it's a lot more prosthetics than I had my first time facing Genichiro.
What you can't do is kill Folding Screen Monkeys (to obtain the Mortal Blade and Puppeteer) or Guardian Ape (for the flower) without glitches. Look those up if you're so inclined but I'd advise against killing both of these before Genichiro as that 100% glitches your game by causing the Owl to invade before you've killed Genichiro, which bugs both boss fights.

However, during the time when you've first upgraded your Town Hall and before you've caught up with upgrades, you're more vulnerable. The game considers you ready to defend against more powerful opponents, and they see you as an easy source of resources compared to people who have been at that Town Hall level for longer.
I'd suggest that you max everything out first then upgrade your town hall. It's really hard to earn good money with a high-level town hall and low-level troops, and you can't keep your money if you don't have strong defense.
