Hellooo Team!,

Apologies for the delay of this message, I was out of town this weekend and only returned back to school early this morning for class.

Here are the assignments for this week with the notes from the client discussion attached. If anyone has any questions, suggestions, concerns, don't hesitate to let me know!   Also, I would gladly lend a hand for those who are struggling with tough week of midterms ahead, since I finished most of mine last week.  There will be no powerpoint presentations for next week (phew) but as a reminder, please type up a page of notes (bullet-points ok) for the team to look at during meeting.

Ariel: (1) Forward Porfolio Login (2) Contact Pat for Solar Farm company and contact info & Patigya to organize for Campus Life Committee Meeting (3) Create doodle for next 2 Lamont Visits (4) Revise Gantt Chart & Consolidate action plans for research, contact, etc for second half of project.

Izzy: (1) Figure how to use the Energy Star Portfolio with Jin (2) Research on Solar Farms; Is it worth it for Lamont Campus to clear 4 acres of trees (in regards to cost and carbon footprint)?  Pat will supply us with contacts & company info soon

Jin: (1) Figure out how to use the Energy Star Porfolio with Izzy (1) Research on Ground Source Heat Pump.  How much will it cost at Lamont and will it be feasible? Which other institutions have done this?

Liora & Tsechu: Please choose an assignment each:  (1) Understand the differences and similarities between Lamont’s Energy Star Portfolio for 2008 vs. 2012.  Pinpoint the problematic energy sources & buildings that we should focus on for our next campus visit and continued research.   (2) Research and reading on Barnard Green Roof & Relectors (Posted on Courseworks).  Which other institutions have done this?  What are the cost, benefits, and feasibility? Note: Thanks for stepping up for the research/analytics side of the project as we really need it to be ready for our next campus visits!

Sarah: (1) Get in Contact with Kevin Griffin (2) Get in contact with Nilda Nesa (Officer for Environmental Stewardship at Columbia) to gain access to CU facility comparisons.  Explain the difficulties we have had with obtaining info & who Jin has talked to on campus.  Also, ask her if she could recommend any contacts for us at other institutions.   Note: Now that Jin is taking on more engineering-related assignments with Izzy, we would need your help more than ever to head outreach!

I strongly recommend you all to look over last week's minutes and the notes from last meeting since it may be very helpful & save you a lot of time in researchingHope y'all had a swell weekend and look forward to catching up on Thursday! :)

Do we have the 2008 portfolio manager information for Lamont? I don't think they were using this system then.

Also, on Saturdays the shuttle only runs at 9am there and 5pm back, I'm not sure it even runs on Sundays.

The campus life committee report on courseworks should be a fair enough comparison
