Hi Team,

Hope everyone is having a splendid break!  Here are the minutes again that Liora posted on Courseworks.  If there is any fuzziness in the assignments, please look over the minutes where assignments have been divided (I've added on from my notes as well) & feel free to shoot me a message with any questions or suggestions.  Only 2 weeks left until we present to the directors :) Thanks for everyone's ongoing effort.. the fruits of our labor are finally coming together!

Sarah: (1) Conduct formal presentation on Black Rock Forest geothermal heating system.  Make sure to use numbers & make the study as quantitative as possible! (2) Search the senior thesis database on energy consumption at blackrock forest (3) Assist Liora with database search on energy use for Behavioral Campaign

Izzy:  (1) Convert 2008 data from site to source energy (change to kilowatts) (2) Can Lamont apply for Million Roofs (3) Create Lamont simulation on GoogleMaps (4)Transfer notes from solar farm research onto powerpoint (doesn’t need to be formal) and upload to courseworks (4) Talk to Julio Vasquez about Barnard’s installation of cool roofs (Note: Martin recommends just to show up)

Liora: (1) Solidify the quantitative aspects of the Behavioral Campaign: How much does Lamont spend on computers, lights, fume hoods waste? Going on the internet and researching sample numbers is fine.  The goal here is to get a rough idea of how much money would be saved by shutting off lights, computers, etc.  Note:

Tsechu: (1) Create logo & design final drafts of sample posters to present Campus Life Committee (Note: We will be printing formal posters & mini-poster reminders for our presentation and should have the final drafts to print by the end of this week) (2) Contact Barnard communications Department for posters and access from environmental campaign a few year ago.  Also, find out who was in charge of that project

Jin: (1) GSHP: Plug Lamont building data into softward to find out hard cost of installing GSHP (vertical, since Lamont is on hard rock).  Also, find proof that hybrid performs the same as regular GSHP. How protected is the GSHP from severe weather & how soon will they make the money back?  Al (2) Look at timers & motion sensors & CBA with hard numbers

Liora, can you send me the chart you created of the annual site energy in 2008 versus 2011? Thanks!

Hi guys, I have just heard back from Pat and he is available to meet anytime after 11 AM on Friday for an hour or so to lead us on the site tour & answer our questions.

Facilities group, would you guys be able to make this meeting?  My Friday lab section may get canceled and if it is, I will join too!
