As the organizer and sole attendee of the Workplace Writing SIG meeting at the 2025 4Cs in Baltimore a couple weeks ago, I’d like to ask the group about what might serve us best for the 2026 conference in Cleveland, March 4-7.
Would an Engaged Learning Experience session focused on the challenges workplace writing instructors face be something we’re interested in? Perhaps a roundtable discussion centered around what we bring to the conference and field of writing studies?
Furthermore, what might make attending next year’s SIG meeting worthwhile? If we understand the SIG overall to function as a resource, do we have ideas on how it can manage that successfully? (Regarding function, I attended the SIG meeting in Chicago 2023 and that directly led to a successful panel presentation at ABC in Denver later that same year.)
The conference call reads, from my perspective, as primed for our contributions. So, I look forward to hearing from those interested!
