"IObit Uninstaller is probably one of the best software to remove unnecessary program from your computer. Unlike the basic windows uninstaller that program will remove all leftovers of the program, which later may slow down performance of your PC. I have been using this program for a several years and always it helps to keep my computer clean and fast. I had recommended this program to some of my friends in the past and would recommend it again today."
"I have used IObit programs for years with great effect ! For this reason I stay with IObit products.I, in the past have serviced and fixed laptops and mobiles (android) and always leave them, with IObit products installed, and ask them to regularly 'hit the big' C' and tell them it will automatically fix and speed up their laptop/computer/mobile! :)I highly recommend the uninstaller (and the latest beta) as a safe reliable program that shifts stubborn programs! Most importantly, remove 'hidden' coding that the programmer intended to leave, which then brings adverts to re-install again!IObit 'ALL' products are safe' and easy to use' most of all look after your PC's."
"I find IObit uninstaller excellent to use as it has all you could wish for. I love the fact that it uninstalls all the left over fragments. It also has a software updater which reminds you when one of the programs need updating, and the fact that it will uninstall batch programs really makes it a winner. In fact it is basically just what one needs to keep your computer good to go."

I appreciate you can't know I was dealing with windows software since Win95. But if I can run software with or without security software enabled I also know to right click an icon and indeed find the programs files and search for an exe file manually or the search function.

The good thing is that the latest IObit uninstaller pro can do even more things. It has a feature called File Shredder. Uninstalling programs in batch will prove to be extremely helpful. If you've used a similar software uninstaller program, it might have launched all the uninstallation wizards for every program you included in the batch process, at the same time, which is terrible to keep track of. IObit Uninstaller is different in that it doesn't open the next uninstall wizard until the current one has been closed, which is very nice.
The cleanup process has two stages. First, you launch the unwanted application's uninstaller and let it do its work. And second, IObit Uninstaller's "Powerful Scan" option checks your Registry and hard drive for remnants that the program might have been left behind. These are then displayed for your approval, and you're able to delete anything the program has discovered in a click.
IObit Uninstaller additionally provides a "Forced Uninstall" option, that you can use to remove a program if the original uninstaller no longer works. It works reasonably well, though of course can't be guaranteed to uninstall everything, so you should only try it as a last resort.
I had Forticlient 6.0 installed in a Windows 10 VM for test purposes. (This is the VPN-only client without the other functions.) However after attempting to uninstall the program via "Programs & Features" it was still there despite no error messages from the uninstaller.
Additionally, the option to exit in the Forticlient system tray icon was greyed out. (Online instructions for uninstalling typically start with "Exit the Forticlient system tray icon".) Attempting to stop Forticlient processes with Task Manager resulted in the stopped processes automatically restarting. The Forticlient scheduler service could not be stopped through the Services panel. The IObit uninstaller was unable to uninstall it. (Removed it from "Programs & Features" but Forticlient was in fact still installed and running.) This thing is like a virus!
Although this appears to have worked I hate to take that kind of sledgehammer approach - for future reference what is the best way to uninstall Forticlient when the built-in uninstaller doesn't do the job?
