yoogibearu:

Could you tell me what size you start with, what your Import settings are (the gear icon in the editor) and what size they are when posted to Flickr? I'd like to find out what's going on with the image being downsized.
I found my earlier thread, from a year ago, where Brenda Anderson confirmed the downsizing issue, when sharing from PM to Flickr - this downsizing seems to be the rule:

www.flickr.com/groups/picmonkey/discuss/72157653558914399/

Chrome let me save an edited image to Flickr just now. The original size of the file in my local folder is 6.15 MB, the copy shared from PM is... 3.00 MB.
The way you phrase your question seems to imply you are not aware of the "default" downsizing, Brenda points out, no?

(Seems I need to forget about Opera for editing in PM -- okay. However, I will still add that the former version of PM did not conflict with Opera.)

Hi Paula,

We are trying to resolve this as quickly as possible but it has proven very elusive so far. It is the only thing our main Flash developer has been working on.

Until we can resolve it the best option would be to use Firefox for the time being. Once you have Firefox installed you'll need to visit get.adobe.com/flashplayer/ using Firefox. This will get you the latest version of Flash for Firefox.

I'm can't say why Thompson Photography has run into problems with Firefox as well. We can tell you that both Firefox and Safari have limited Flash's ability to launch by implementing a feature known as "Click to Play". This will soon be the defaukt in Chrome as well.

Click to Play requires you to give Flash permission to launch. You can get instructions on allowing PicMonkey to use Flash here: www.picmonkey.com/blog/problems-launching-or-loading-images

Hope this helps and so sorry for the continued difficulty.

Unfortunately, I have been using a program that is becoming obsolete and need to do something new. I was VERY excited to learn about picmonkey.com. It sounds like this may be the answer to my problems.
