Thanks to everyone who came out last night. We had a nice turnout of 9 or 10 folks, including some first timers and some old friends we hadn't seen in a while. I hope we'll see you all back! Next time I'll bring a signup sheet so we can make sure that new folks get added to this list.
Congratulations to our winner, Mike Moore, who defeated Adrian Hauck in a hard-fought heads up. They say it's better to be lucky than good, but Mike's mantra last night was "why not both?" as he managed to keep us guessing all night what he had, only to win on the river no matter what he had.
Yours truly placed third, though Mike knocked me out enough times that I still lost money, and organizer emeritus Tom Druan came in fourth after an uncanny two rounds of he and I having exactly the same hand. Well, not EXACTLY the same, since mine lucked into a flush. Sorry Tom.
Stay tuned to this channel for an October date.
P.S.
What did everyone think of playing upstairs? If we liked it we can keep doing it, or we can try to get back in the café next time.
