Hello Workapedia Googlegroupers!

It`s great to see you all signing up. Don`t forget to mention it to
your co-workers so we can keep growing. We, at ASPECT, are excited
about the soon to be launched BC Workinfonet upgrade site: Workapedia,
and we`d like to get some recommendations for your favourite websites,
videos, blogs or resources. Please let us know what it is about them
that you love, too. Why you find them useful or are always passing
them along to your clients.

Those of you who work with specific groups: Immigrants, Older
Workers, Persons with Disabilities, Youth and Aboriginals -- any group
specific links or resources you might care to share, would be greatly
appreciated.

Thanks in advance for your involvement in helping us make Workapedia a
site that you and your clients will use regularly and with
anticipation! Ì look forward to hearing all of your suggestions...

One good career exploration resource that I can recommend is Career
Cruising, a web based source of information on careers and training in
Canada with a province by province breakdown. It includes a couple of
career self assessments that consider values and interests. It has
been designed to be accessible to high school students and it is
comprehensive and current enough to be a useful base of research for
our career exploring clients. It costs about $570 per year for the
host organization and counsellors using it can give the user name and
passwords to their clients to allow them free access.
