Small board challenge

For those who have not tried it yet, the "Big Words, Little Box"
tournament is a 3x3 board with 6+ word size requirements.

It is amazing how many words can be found in such a small board.

The challenge here is - how many valid 6+ words can be in a single 3x3
board? What would be the best possible board? Or at least a very
good board?

In a completely different target, I give you a 5x5 board that has over
150 words that are 9 or more letter long. Can you find them? (No
fair making a tournament out of this as it will end up spoiling the
action)
