Here's always a good place to start talking . . . favored themes?

We're experimenting deeply with Thesis for a theme and also using
Formidable for forms.
What do you favor and why?

I have a lot of favorites I've picked up through Themeforest. I am using it as a CMS, though, and I assume you are using it as a blog?

I've also only used Contact Form 7 or Gravity Forms for more complex work.
