Sounds like an interesting project! Sorry I don't have what your after but I think it's something we'll worth investing the time on,, a standard wp export of a test site w all the different product variants... Good test data are important,, who knows maybe Gary or Jason can help you out?

Indeed, I'm working with Mike on this today.   

The short-term is to get him what he needs.  What I'd like to do as a bit longer-term is to build a product database big enough to be worth testing (maybe 1,000 products) - small enough to use on shared hosting, big enough to be useful.  All different kind of products (digital, physical, mixed, shipping, no shipping, etc.)

Then I'd like to build a suite of WP-CLI commands that would allow users to generate these products (as well as sales logs, change settings, switch payment gateways, etc.).

I think having a dev tool like that for populating data would be awesome.

I've had a play w WP-CLI its very fun, 

1000 products is quite an undertaking, but think 100 products is definately a good starting point,, 

has anyone seen how many products are in the woo product import?
