WPEC 3.8.7.4 - Wordpress 3.3 Single Product Page Description is Repeated

Hey guys, it seems after upgrading to Wordpress 3.3, on the single
product's detail page, the product description is being repeated as if
it is running the loop twice.

Anyone else seeing this?

Just upgraded my trunk WPEC with TwentyEleven to WP 3.3 and I don't
seem to have that issue.
Are you using a different theme?

I have a custom child twenty eleven theme, and the upgrade I did today did not effect how the products were shown.

Well I tested this in both custom theme and 2011 and in both cases I
saw repeated product description and title....There seems to be
atleast 2 posts on getshopped.org with people having the same issue.
I also proposed a temporary fix on the thread that works for the time
being...

Just want to share my experience,

I have two identical site (duplicated by BackupBuddy)...

my local server: PHP v5.2.6  && MYSQL v5.0.51 => no repeated description

my dev server: PHP v5.3.6 & MYSQL v5.1.56 => repeated description in single product page!!!

I start thinking that it is related to PHP version... hmmm...

Odd, that most of us can't replicate it.  Stabbing in the dark a bit, without the ability to replicate.  But just in case my hunch is correct, try this - replace the 'wpsc_the_product_description' function (Around Line 700 of /wpsc-includes/product-template.php) with the following - 

function wpsc_the_product_description() {

$content = do_shortcode( wpautop( get_the_content( __( 'Read the rest of this entry &raquo;', 'wpsc' ) ), 1 ) );

if( ! function_exists( 'is_main_query' ) )

return $content;

if( is_main_query() )

return $content;

return '';

}

Curious to see if that resolves anything.

I’ll have a play with Related Products, there’s some Product re-looping to get the variation prices displaying. I’m using that Plugin too but cannot see the duplication.

I haven't actually investigated this problem at all yet.

FYI - I can comment out the function wpsc_the_product_description()
within wpsc-single_product.php and the product description will still
appear...From my findings the loop is looping just the content twice
and not the entire wpsc-single_product template. That should narrow
it down a bit...

I answer my own problem...

So, I have custom related products function in our FlexiShop theme... and when related product is active, the repeated content (description) does appear. It does appear in our server, but doesn't appear in my local server.

When I disable this related products, repeated content (description) is gone... Then, I checked my related product functions and I tried to remove wp_reset_query(); in my custom related products function... Magically, the repeated content dissapear... It is weird, but it does work with our FlexiShop theme...

Again, it doesn't happen to everyone... :)
