To those interested in attending WordCamp Austin on May 19th:

Also, a great way to get involved is to be one of our Happiness Ambassadors (known elsewhere as volunteers). Right now we are especially eager to find a few people who can help out on the day of the event with setting up food and beverages, speaker support, and registration. We also need some experienced WordPress folks to staff our Happiness Bar (the WP version of a genius bar) for a short shift sometime during the day.

Hi Jackie,

I volunteered to help the day of... and/or with speaker support, but
haven't heard anything more. Is there a prep meeting planned for
volunteers?

Lorraine,

We are still working on that. We have been focused on high level planning, sponsorship etc. I will be in touch more soon but right now I have nothing to tell the volunteers. Hang tight!

I guess Sherry never made contact with you. Well, we are mostly good to go with sponsors I think.... was actually pretty easy all things told.

We could definitely use your help day of event if you want to be put to work (not in a very strenuous way!).
