vvv not running provision.sh?

I've git cloned VVV and vagrant up works. I can ssh into the VM, but it's a bare ubuntu box (no nginx, mysql, etc). This leads me to believe that the provision.sh script wasn't run from the vagrantfile. Anyone heard of anything like this happening, or know how I might debug this? New to Vagrant and am running Windows. I gave up on roots.io/trellis and now vvv has got me tearing my hair out too.

I figured it out - a vagrant provision after the vagrant up seems to be doing the trick.
