Good morning good people of St. John’s!!

What a glorious morning God has given us to taken in and marvel at!  The bright sun, frost on the trees and the cool temperatures that surround us as we await the coming Christ child can only spark a deep sense of awe and wonder of what God the Creator, the One who made heaven and earth, has done.

As our hearts turn toward Sunday morning and the coming gathering together for Word and Sacrament, may we commit anew to the gift of time together that God desires to bless us with!  Our choirs have prepared some beautiful music for both services tomorrow. Aren’t we all blessed by their commitment and faithfulness as the powerful gift of music touches our hearts?

The scriptures for tomorrow are as follows:

Isaiah 7:10-16

Psalm 80:1-7,17-19

Romans 1:1-7

Matthew 1:18-25

Tomorrow during the message, we will have a visit from Joseph, who will be in his workshop where things are familiar and quiet as he wonders about what he will do about his relationship with Mary.  The wrestling he does will prayerfully present a point of view that can broaden our understanding of the coming miracle at Christmas.

May God bless your day!

Pastor Mark
