Resurrection of our Lord

Greetings brothers and sisters in Christ!

 

Christ is Risen!!

Alleuia!!

 

So we gather tomorrow celebrating the great high festival of Easter, the crowning day of the church year.  As you prepare, please pray- giving God thanks for life, especially new life in Christ. 

 

The readings are as follows:

Acts 10:34-43

Psalm 118:1-2, 14-24

I Corinthians 15:19-26

John 20:1-18

 

I look forward to seeing you tomorrow.  If you missed Maundy Thursday and Good Friday, I ask you to put those Holy Days  on your calendars right now for next year.   The Resurrection only makes sense when we have grappled with how far our Lord and Savior went for us on the cross. 

 

My heartfelt thank you to everyone who took part in the Lenten journey- from being present in worship to meals to the Voices of Lent to reading to acolyting to preparing Holy Communion and paraments to opening and closing to singing to serving in ways seen or unseen.  Thank you and thanks be to God!!
