Dear friends in Christ,
Greetings to each and every one of you on a bright and sunny morning!
As we approach the high festival week culminating in the resurrection of our Lord, my prayers are for God’s gift of faithfulness to you. May you receive God’s graces with responses of prayer, reflection and participation as the body of Christ each of the days of Holy Week. The Holy Spirit has encouraged us with many who will offer various abilities, some seen, some unseen as the week unfolds. God has much in store for you if you will respond with your presence.
Scripture readings for Passion Sunday:
Isaiah 50:4-9a
Psalm 31:9-16
Philippians 2-5-11
Luke 23:1-49
Our annual hearty and delicious breakfast is being
offered on Sunday morning by our young people between services!
Also, be sure to receive your nail Sunday morning and consider what our
young members have to say about them!
Maundy Thursday will be our annual foot washing service. I have sawed off and filed my hammer toes, corns and blisters in preparation!! J J Have you?
On Good Friday the service promises to take us to the depths of our fears by what Jesus has done for us. Listen for instruction from our young people as to how you will be invited to participate in that worship service.
How about inviting a friend this week? Many seek deeper reasons for living. Faith in God is the only way I know to make sense of this world. Be bold. Ask!
God invites you to receive the blessings of faith active in love each Sunday. Will you respond to God’s gift with your presence?
Grace and peace,
Pastor Mark
