Good morning dear friends in Christ,
Tomorrow, September 7th, is God’s Work Our Hands Sunday! As such we will meet at St. Paul Lutheran Church, corner of Lefevre and 16th avenue for 9:00 A.M. worship.
Here are the particulars:
1) Worship with Immanuel, St. Paul and St. John’s members- 9:00 A.M. Barbershoppers will present word and song appropriate for praising God.
2) Brunch immediately following worship (St. John’s providing fruit for our shared meal- please bring a plate of fruit to share)
3) Choose from 8 work projects including
a. Writing cards and or Quilting
b. Roadside cleanup
c. Bag groceries at County Market
d. Landscape (spreading mulch) at the Duis Center
e. Nursing home visit including bell music (mostly for young members)
f. Float construction for the Fiesta Day parade (This may need to happen on Friday, Sept. 12th - Sunday may well be planning day)
g. PADS-prepare to open for the winter season
h. Food Bank- general assistance as needed
4) Please wear your bright yellow “God’s Work Our Hands” t-shirts and come with appropriate work clothing for the project you have selected.
Thank you for your prayerful consideration of which project you will do. If you are unable to assist, please hold everyone- work teams, recipients and our community in prayer! Your prayers are sorely needed!!
