I know that Wordcycler is no longer supported by James, and this forum doesn't appear to be particularly active either. However, the application has continued to work well for me all this time, so I've had no complaints (and it's a credit to James that he created a program that could run so well on autopilot).
Recently, however, I've noticed some small changes for the worse. For one thing, I have my settings set to sync individual articles, and lately those articles have been showing up on my Kindle with a string of characters (eg, "qe3npw0h.fsc" rather than the actual article title). In addition, I'm getting error messages when I try to sync certain articles, which has never happened before. To be clear, these articles show up fine in my Instapaper queue on my browser/app; the problem only occurs when I import them onto my Kindle via Wordcycler.
Like I said, I'm aware of the situation, and don't have particularly high hopes that this will get fixed, but I was just wondering if others are experiencing this, or if James himself could perhaps weigh in and let us know if anything changed recently in terms of either Wordcycler or how Instapaper interacts with third-party services (I see from the Instapaper blog that they've been doing some back-end updates recently).
Wordcycler has been just about the perfect service for my needs, and even with these recent bugs it probably still is. But if there's any way to get them fixed, I'd love to hear it.
