Public Safety
The following public safety reports were made during the first two weeks of September. Compstat Meetings will resume in October.
- 9.2.25 - 120 Wooster Street - 8:25pm - Intimidation w/ a weapon
- 9.2.25 - 351 Greene Street - 9:03am - Larceny from a vehicle
- 9.7.25 - 237 Wooster Street - 11:43am - Larceny from a vehicle
- 9.9.25 - 882 Grand Avenue - 2:06pm - Motor vehicle theft
Street Cleaning & No Parking Reminder
With the new month beginning this week, there will be street cleaning and designated no parking where you see signs on Thursday and Friday October 2 & 3 in Wooster Square. Please move your cars to allow for thorough street cleaning on those days.
Parking Permits
It's the end of September and time to apply for or renew your free New Haven Resident Parking Permits. You can do this easy process online and will need evidence of your vehicle registration and local address to do so. The deadline is TODAY, September 30 for renewal. You can get a permit for your car and up to three guest permits for street parking in Zone 5. Register for a new permit at:

Annual Blessing of the Pets - This week-end, October 4 & 5
The Episcopal Church of St. Paul and St. James will hold their annual Blessing of the Pets this week-end with two chances for a blessing - a drop-by Park option and a worship service option. Bring your pets or a photo of your pets who can't travel or who have passed. Children can even bring their favorite stuffed animals. Saturday 10/4 - 9:30am -12noon: stop by for a blessing in Wooster Square Park. Sunday 10/5 - St PJ's Church - 57 Olive Street using the Chapel Street entry during the 10:30am jazz worship service.
