Greetings all on this warmish spring day!

I am sitting in Wooster Square Park enjoying the sun on my face!

I took a walk to check out two pieces of public art for all to enjoy! The Historic Wooster Square Association partnered with the Town Green District to have 7 traffic boxes around Wooster Square painted with cherry blossoms - two of them are already finished on Wooster Place and in the Park on the Wooster Place side of the Park. See photos below!

Just in time for the 52nd Annual Cherry Blossom Festival next week on Sunday, April 6 from 12noon-4:30pm! Bring your chairs and visit the 30+ food trucks for a picnic in the Park! Listen to 3 local bands, visit the Children’s area and the Italian Heritage area. Meet many of the Festival Sponsors and check out greater New Haven non-profit arts and culture organizations in the Engagement Zone sponsored by the Yale University Office of New Haven Affairs. Also check out the stenciled cherry blossoms on the central walkways of the Park they are so beautiful!

On a less happy note, there was one public safety incident over the past two weeks in Wooster Square - on March 20 at 12:55pm there was a burglary-breaking/entering at 604 Chapel Street.

Stay safe everyone and enjoy the spring weather!
