Our next DWSCMT Meeting will be next Tuesday, August 11th, at 6pm in City Hall Meeting Room 3. 

Please note that the 11th is also the Connecticut Primary Election Day! To learn more, including who is on the ballot and to view a sample ballot, please visit here. To check your voting location, visit here. 

Below are the meeting notes from our last meeting (July 14th). We had 3 wonderful presenters: 

- Juan Bueno, from the Fair Rent Commission, who spoke about their goals of building relationships between landlords and tenants. Read more at https://www.newhavenct.gov/government/departments-divisions/fair-rent-commission

- Lisa Swain, from Neighbors for Housing Southern CT, who work towards pushing for more housing https://neighborsforhousing.org/

- Dominique Baez, from the Construction Workforce Initiative 2, which is an incredible initiative working to train people in construction work! Their next course is beginning September 1st https://www.cwi2.com/

There are also a variety of exciting announcements and events at the bottom of the agenda.
