Dear Neighbors -

I have three announcements to forward.

This is the first one from Mayor Elicker re: COVID and the CDC placing New Haven County in the High Risk Category. Please read and remember to stay safe so we can all be well.

I will be sending two more announcements - about  a heritage walk through parts of the Fair Haven Community beginning in Lenzi Park on May 9, and a reminder about the DWSCMT Meeting on Tuesday May 17.

Enjoy Mother's Day 🌷🌞🌷

Hi, this is Mayor Justin Elicker with an important message for New Haven residents regarding COVID-19.

Cases of COVID-19 and related hospitalizations are increasing in New Haven. This week, the CDC placed New Haven County in the High Risk Category. With cases on the rise, we must continue to work together to prevent the spread of COVID-19 and to protect the most vulnerable among us.

While there is no mask mandate in place, everyone is strongly encouraged to wear a mask when indoors in public spaces. Get vaccinated or boosted when you are eligible. If you have symptoms of COVID-19, get tested and stay home. If you test positive, contact your doctor to find out if you may benefit from treatment. Seniors and those at high risk for severe illness should take extra precautions.

To find a testing or vaccination site near you and other helpful information, go to our website: COVID19.newhavenct.gov.

Thanks everyone for your continued cooperation and please stay safe.
