Extreme Heat Warning: Today (Tuesday) through Thursday this Week!
Connecticut's Extreme Hot Weather Protocol has been activated from 11am today through 5pm Thursday July 16, with temperatures expected in the mid-to-high 90s and the heat index topping 100 degrees at times. The National Weather Service has issued a heat advisor for Tuesday and Wednesday this week. Here in New Haven, all city libraries and senior centers open as cooling centers during their normal business hours. For a full list of cooling centers and their hours, visit 211ct.org or call 2-1-1.

The New Haven Reconnecting Communities Project Seeks Advisory Board Members
The city's Reconnecting Communities Project funded by a $2 million federal grant to address decades of harm from I-91;s construction, is recruiting members for its Community Advisory Board. The project especially needs voices in transportation advocacy, housing, and land use, plus representation from young people, the disability community, bicycle and pedestrian advocates and local business coalitions. Interested? Contact Fatima Cecunjanin at

fcecu...@newhavenct.gov or 203-946-6539.

That's it for now ... stay cool everyone 😎
