Dear Neighbors -

I received this notice today from the Office of the City Plan - while the deadline to apply to be a participant is tomorrow, December 5, I hope it sparks some interest. I have reached out to see if there is any flexibility in the deadline, but do apply quickly if you are interested in having your voice heard.

Remember the Wooster Square 🎄Tree Lighting 🎄is tomorrow night as well - lights are turned on in the Park at 6pm - holiday cheer starts at 5:45pm!

Community Organizing Opportunity with Elm City Communities

This program with Elm City Communities will bring together a group of local changemakers to address systemic barriers to economic success. Participants will gather over the course of seven months to discuss their own experiences with economic success, name potential barriers, and develop strategies for addressing barriers in their communities. By the end of the program, participants will carry out an action of their own design with the intention of removing systemic barriers for themselves and others.

Meetings will provide food, childcare, and interpretation as needed. Participants will receive a small stipend for their participation in the program, as well as a transportation allowance.

For additional information, please email Johnny Shively at jshi...@elmcitycommunities.org.

APPLY HERE. The final date to apply for this program is December 5th, 2025.

Stay warm over the next day or two as temps are predicted to drop,

Sarah
