Greetings Neighbors:

I wanted to report on the sidewalk replacements that you may have already noticed around three sides of Wooster Square Park. The city is currently replacing the black top walkways with sidewalks similar to the ones on the south side of the park. It is quite an improvement! At a recent meeting with the Historic Wooster Square Association, City Engineer Giovani Zinn announced that this effort is Phase I of a broader neighborhood improvement project that will also include major traffic calming efforts on Chapel Street, Greene Street, Olive Street and Wooster Street - hopefully sometime this fall or by early spring. Details of these improvements will be shared from that September meeting in the coming weeks.
